Board of Management

The voluntary Board of Management currently comprises 15 people with close connections with Croydon and/or professional experience within the housing industry.

The Board of Management has overall control and responsibility of the Association's finances and solvency through its standing orders and procedures. These controls are implemented through the expertise of the Board of Management.

The Board Members use their specific skills within the Association’s Tenant Services, Finance & General Purposes, Audit and Remuneration Committees working closely with the Senior Management Team.

Board Profiles

David Scott - Chairman
A retired Civil Servant with experience in policy development and administration in several government departments, including partnership working with local authorities and housing associations to regenerate housing estates, developing legislation on health and safety in housing and promoting policies on older people’s housing and independent living.

Gerald Ellis, JP – Deputy Chairman
A retired Company Secretary and Solicitor with over 30 years working in commerce and industry including sitting on various Boards and Committees. He brings commercial and legal expertise to the Association.

Andrea Cannon, BA, FCIH
She brings 30 years experience in Housing Management including the management of sheltered housing services and is Supporting People Head Officer at Surrey Country Council.

David Clark, C.Eng., MICE, MCIWEM, JP
Now retired he brings many years of personnel experience having been responsible for some 200 staff, his role included responsibility for ensuring that staff training needs were met plus the final stages of all grievance and disciplinary cases.

Ethel Dixon
Is a Tenant at the Association’s Garden Court Scheme and is the Tenant Member of the Board and Tenant Services Committee.

Martin Doughty, BSC., MRICS
A Chartered Surveyor with 25 years experience, he has for the last 13 years specialised in the provision of advice to Housing Associations and since 2002 as Associate Director in the Housing Consultancy Team of a leading global property service provider.

Colleen Guy, MA HRS
Runs her own HR Consultancy where she works with leadership teams across most sectors. Some of her work is within other Housing Associations and she is also Vice Chair of Coulsdon 6th Form College. Colleen brings expertise in people management, leadership, training and development as well as organisational development.

Piers Hubbard, FCA
A retired Chartered Accountant with experience as a Planning Manager for an oil company and Deputy Financial Controller of one of the top 6 firms of Solicitors in the UK, he brings financial expertise to the organisation.

Maria Linford, RGN
Recently retired from her post as Home Manager of a Registered Care Home she continues to work part time as an RGN within the care home’s support team and is a member of Sanderstead Neighbourhood Care Team. She brings 40 years of nursing experience including 6 years working as Training & Development Manager with responsibility for training 180 staff.

Rev. James McClelland, MA
He trained as an accountant prior to his ministerial training, has wide committee experience and was for 20 years Trust Secretary of an Educational Charity responsible for a large research library in religious studies.

Warren Myles, MCIH
Warren has been working in housing since 1994, he has a Housing Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Estate Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Working for a number of Housing Association's lately as a consultant Warren has assisted in the development of a numerous successful housing scheme's of all tenures.

Eileen Nutting, MCIH
Eileen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, she has over 30 years experience of working for a local authority in Housing Management and Social Care. Currently she is Lead Officer for Supporting People for the London Borough of Merton

Joyce Trotman, BA ARTS (London)
Formerly a Senior Lecturer at the Government Training College for Teachers in Guyana, a Research Fellow (Language) at the University of Guyana and Head of the Remedial Department at Scott Lidgett Boys School in London. She is a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) and has good listening skills and has the ability to discern the needs of those she meets.

Kevin Wheeler, MA, MCIH
A Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing he brings over 40 years experience as a professional working in Social Housing both within Local Government and the commercial field.
