Eldon Housing Association has become a specialist in the provision and management of supported housing for older people. It prides itself in listening and learning about changing needs and responding by creating innovative housing solutions and service delivery.
Gone are the days of reaching retirement and applying for sheltered housing as many people continue to work to 70 years and beyond. Supported housing is now not required until much later in life. With this increase in age comes new and different service requirements hence the trend towards flexible services tailored to meet each individual’s own needs.
Thanks to our tenants and applicants, we have been able to adapt and meet those needs and create accommodation for the future. All the Association’s older person flats are designed to mobility standards and some are specifically built for wheelchair users.
The Association’s aims and objectives are to provide housing and associated amenities for the people of Croydon in housing need. Applicants for housing must therefore already live in the Borough of Croydon or have a connection such as having previously lived in the Borough or have supporting relatives living in the Borough.
